Lexington, South Carolina Dec 23, 2021 (Issuewire.com) – Bela Family Dentistry knows how the holidays can be difficult for many people. Those who are elderly and live alone. Those who are homeless, or those who find themselves down on their luck.
That’s why, during this season of peace and goodwill toward all, Bela Family Dentistry is reaching out to bring a little joy to the surrounding communities.
With the twinkle of Saint Nick in their thoughts, Bela team members have joined forces with Toys for Tots to stage donation drop zones and distribution centers in various Bela offices, so that patients and team members in the communities of Edgefield and White Knoll can bring a little holiday magic to children who might otherwise have no present under the tree.
Meanwhile, the Bela branch in Kershaw has organized a canned food drive, distributing meals to needy families in the community during the season better known for lavish feasts, sugary treats, and over-indulging.
Finally, team members in Newberry delivered Christmas goodies (blankets, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, lotions) to a grateful White Oak Nursing Home, making the holiday for them a little brighter.
“We know just how emotionally fraught the holidays can be,” says Dr. Matthew Cook, DMD, president of Bela Family Dentistry. “Especially for those who might need a helping hand. That’s why we want to help out in any way we can.”
